Dean Paul Gibson's selected directing credits include: The 39 Steps (Arts Club) The 25 Annual Puttnam County Spelling Bee (Theatre Calgary), Much Ado About Nothing for (Bard on the Beach) Seven Stories for CanStage / Theatre Calgary, Black Comedy/ Marriage Proposal, The History Boys, It's A Wonderful Life, The School for Scandal and A Flea in Her Ear (Arts Club), Toronto, Mississippi (Theatre Aquarius-Playhouse), True West, No Great Mischief, and Noises Off (The Playhouse), The Boyfriend (Studio 58), Othello, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream , Hamlet, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, Merry Wives, Pericles, Twelfth Night, Two Gents (Bard on the Beach), Lend Me a Tenor, Good Night Desdemona–Good Morning Juliet, and Powerlines (Gateway Theatre). Coup De Tat (WCT) and Lettice and Lovage (Pacific Theatre). Recently, Dean Paul has busy with directing: She Stoops to Conquer, Xanadu (Arts Club Theatre), King John (Bard on the Beach).

As an actor, Dean has also been seen on stage across the country and in various film and TV roles. Dean has been honoured with Jessie Richardson Awards for his acting and directing and is a graduate of Studio 58.

VIGIL for Theatre Calgary, Fezziwig / ensemble Christmas Carol (Playhouse) Felix Humble in two productions of Humble Boy (Tarragon Theatre and Playhouse / National Arts Centre), Sammy in Little Mercy’s First Murder (Touchstone) Stones in his Pockets (Playhouse) and remount production at The Belfry, The Family Way for (Touchstone Theatre), Romeo and Juliet, The Dead Reckoning, Music Man, Little Voice and the acclaimed production of The Overcoat (Vancouver Playhouse). Vigil (WCT), Cymbeline (Bard on the Beach), the award winning production of Problem Child (Green Thumb Theatre), The Score (Toronto), A Guide to Mourning, Remnant, Other People’s Money, Amadeus and A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls. Recent acting credits include: the bartender-Tosca Cafe (Theatre Calgary/Van Playhouse) and the upcoming : 'Undershaft'- Major Barbara ( Theatre Calgary/American Conservatory Theatre)

Dean is also the Director for the Arts Club Acting Intensive, which began in 2010, an instructor for VISI and a favourite coach/instructor/adjudicator for Theatre BC. Also, Dean is the Associate Artistic Director for Bard on the Beach.
