As an actor, Dean has also been seen on stage across the country and in various film and TV roles. Dean has been honoured with Jessie Richardson Awards for his acting and directing and is a graduate of Studio 58.

Vigil (WCT), Cymbeline (Bard on the Beach), the award winning production of Problem Child (Green Thumb Theatre), The Score (Toronto), A Guide to Mourning, Remnant, Other People’s Money, Amadeus and A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls. Dean is also the Director for the Arts Club Acting Intensive, which began in 2010, an instructor for VISI and a favourite coach/instructor/adjudicator for Theatre BC. Also, Dean is the Associate Artistic Director for Bard on the Beach.
